During our visit to my sisters yesterday we got a chance to go visit her neighbor Jon while he was tending to the honey in his hives!!! It was very interesing to see him scrape the wax off the comb (Which tastes YUMMY!!!) put it in that big barrel and spin it down to get the HONEY OUT. It was a very sticky Sweet Experience!! I love learning about new things! Monet thougt it was "Good Jon Good!" Hope she did not get a belly ache!
He also raises a really unique breed or draft horses, BEAUTIFUL!!

Watching the process of removing the oney from the combs was very interesting. It tasted wonderful and the honey fragrance was delightful. Bees have always been an interest, and it would be great to have several hives at NOrthern Acres. Who wants to use the smoke, don the appropriate apparel and get the combs out, though? We also have a resident bear who would love having hives in his territory!!
That looks pretty neat! Also looks like it might be a real messy job? Your Sister looks ready to go at any moment, how is she doing?
Beautiful horse and looks like fresh yummy honey!!! Are those RObeez Treadz that Louisa is wearing? They are adorable!
yes they are Robeez Treads, thanks to Nanna!! They are super cute!
Awesome... Does he sell the honey or keep it for personal use?
Neat pics. I have never seen the process of removing the honey before.
