First time Tappin' and Sappin'!
Scott and I have always loved the idea of Tapping trees. For Scott Birthday I got him some buckets and taps. Some of the taps are from the 1800's made of cast iron, really cool! It was a beautiful weekend with temps in the 40s and full blue sky. It was NH Maple Syrup weekend, so we went to visit a local Sugar House for pancakes and a chance to see a huge evaporator hard are are work making some lip smacking goodness! Then back to Nanna's to tap some trees. We got up 24 taps, and the sap was pouring out!! In 6 hrs we had gallons of sap!! Going to start to boil tonight. The sun was so warm all the horses and donkey took a nice snooze, CeeCee even let out a woofle in her sleep!! CUTE! .....Today first ful day of spring....it is snowing like crazy!!! oh well.
