25 Black Star Laying Hens (chicks) + 1 exotic Arrived This am!

Louisa was very excited to head to the Post Office to pick up out new batch of Laying hens! We ordered them from Mcmurry Hatchery in Iowa. They arrived really peppy. They threw in one free exotic! "one of these things is not like the other!"

We set up brooder and hooked up the heat lamp and the fun began. Louisa took almost every one of them for a tour of the barn! I had to keep reminding her not to kiss them. Chet was all giggles and not quite ready to hold one on is own yet!
